***UPDATE: Tonight's Scotch menu has changed. We apologize for the short notice! See new menu below***
Said "Look man, come down here." He got down there. What you want?
Move it on over to the Daily Pint this Wednesday 10/21 for a double dose of special events.
With the magical convergence of LA Beer Week and Whisky Live, we have double booked the Pint for a scotch tasting and an evening of casks from Firestone Walker.
This is a complete departure from our pastscotch tastings, with a whole new lineup of single malts from the Highlands & Islands. Choose any 6 whiskies out of the 9 on the list for the low low price of 30 dollars! Master Distiller Ian MacMilan will be there to guide the tasting and talk shop.
There are some surprisingly old whiskies on the list for such a low price, Deanston 30 yr and Bunnahabhain 25 yr being the standouts. Add four more whiskies and your tab is still only $30. See below for the full menu.
Scotch lineup has changed. See below for an updated image. Whiskeys include:
Singleton 12
Glenkinchie 12
Cragganmore 12
Oban 14
Ardberg 10
Remember our original Firkin Fridays, before the LA Times article and before our 4 beer engines were installed? The first cask we ever had was the Unfiltered Double Barrel (April 11th, 2008), and it's been far too long without a Firestone cask on the board.
In addition to the Firestone beers we normally keep on draft, Wednesday will see the return of Unfiltered Double Barrel, plus casks of Union Jack, Pale 31, and Walkers Reserve Porter.
Come over to the Pint, you'll probably be here anyways, but just as a reminder, we've got this Scotch tasting going on with Ed Adams from Diageo. We're also setting up a barbeque in the parking lot, so food will be available for purchase.
Wear a kilt and receive 25% off your favorite Scotch from the evening! The festivities begin at 9pm, but it never hurts to get here early. We will be packed to the brim!
